On the program this time **fanfare** Man-Thing #1!

That’s right it’s Battle for the Palace of the Gods the second part of the story which began in the last issue of Adventure into Fear. And it is full of Gerber-y weirdness as can be expected but the big news is the fact that this is Manny’s brand new self-titled book. And this was back in the day when #1’s meant something! Not like today where any old Wednesday could be a new #1, these kids today don’t know the meaning of #1’s! Now I guess your picture me shaking my fist at the sky and saying something derogatory about millennials…I don’t know it’s the Internet that’s what we’re supposed to do right?

Okay..what was I talking about? Oh, Man-Thing. Yes, this is the start of his self-titled series and it begins with a fantasy extravaganza that throws us into the deep end of weird…as it should. I talk a bit about the atmosphere in which this comic was released and the reasons why it might be a little more than just a strange and wacky comic. Could there be a deeper meaning behind it all? Spoilers: yes.
